Failla bridge

Located on the 'Fiume Troina', called 'Ponte di Troina', later called 'Ponte Grande' or 'Ponte di Failla', 54 feet long and 8 wide, already documented at the end of the thirteenth century for having given the name to the locality in which it is located, contrada 'Pontis'. It still has two unequal spans with round arches and equipped with parapets. These structures, in addition to having a narrow roadway, have ramps with steep slopes which make the passage of carts almost impossible; these were the so-called 'humpback' bridges, works that gave prestige to the city they belonged to.
